Google Earth is incredibly frightening. Something about locating your own house from images from space with the accuracy of look, there's our deck and our walkway and our car in the driveway...

Songs for the Angels by Great Lake Swimmers makes me want to cry and cry.

What's happening to Toronto? A woman's torso was found on Queen Street (and I would personally not have the courage to be laughing about the situation but would instead hide behind locked doors, on my bed and in the foetal position) and they found her leg in North York. Queen Street is kind of far from where I live but I do buy my yarn and concert tickets there so it's not far enough removed to not be very, very scary.

My apartment stays at a constant 29C/85F which is ridiculous because out of my two and a half radiators, only the half is turned on. So basically I'm being heated by all the apartments below me. It feels like the fricken summer. I keep all my windows open day and night despite it being an average of 0C/32F or below freezing. Even with this it's still too hot to sleep with even a sheet. I go to bed in a tank top and underwear and I still wake up sweating and it's winter! It's flannel time, damnit!
