Over hills and fields I flew wrapped up in a royal blue.

I don't really appreciate this heat-wave in October thing.A few nights ago I left my living room window open all night. Thank god James didn't notice because there is no screen and it's a five storey drop. I would have never forgiven myself. Someone's cat across the way lies half outside the window out on the concrete ledge. James can't do that. He's too portly and clumsy.
Kim came last weekend all sick and like. We collected Jason and went to see 'Proof' (I like to embarrass Jason with questions like: "Is my skirt see-through?") which should actaully be called 'Let's See How Many Times We Can Say Proof In An Hour and A Half'. I secretely kind of liked it. And also there were very good previews.
I get my first paycheck tomorrow. After four weeks it's about time. I've already started spending beyond my means. For example, paying $100 for one shirt and two water glasses from Anthropologie which I will just end up breaking.
Next week is Canadian Thanksgiving which we're having at Kim's apartment. Our parents and cousins from New Hampshire are coming. Scheduled activities include going to IKEA, watching the Leafs vs. Canadiens game on tv (we're afraid of the death that is likely promised in all Oshawa bars), and buying Kim a hamster. Michelle from NH also made us four batches of crab cakes (one each for me and Kim to keep in our freezers for "unexpected guests" and two for hockey night). Her crabcakes are the only seafood I have ever and will ever eat. They are fantastic.
Pixie - Are you at the Frames and Josh Ritter show in lovely Seattle right now or are you still in California? If you did go I want a full and detailed report. Was Glen wearing his ugly brown shirt? Did you meet Josh? etc.
Jason - Did you get my message on Kim's guestbook. Because I'm serious. I will cry.
