I just met my delightfully gay neighbour Hal. He said to come over if I ever needed to borrow a cup of sugar or need some salt (salt?). I like him already.

My dad made the observation that I'm pretty safe in my building because only gay men live here. I think he may be right.

In other apartment news, the man who's kitchen window faces mine and who never seemed to wear a shirt (while we pretended not to see eachother) has moved out. He was bald but I'll miss him.

I made green curtains. It took me about 20 hours and nearly left me in tears.

I need to go buy course books and school supplies. I love the fall. It's the time of sweaters, old David Gray albums, trips to the yarn store, and that mulled cranberry drink from Second Cup. Cinnamon stick optional.
