I just handed in my last paper after feeling vaguely like I was going to have a nervous breakdown. I got my first paper mark yeasterday, an 85. The average was 72. Go me. It wasn't even a topic I chose - Otto Wagner's Postal Savings Bank and The Church am Steinhof on the grounds of the Austrian Psychiatric hospital - but my professor seemed to think it was a pretty interesting paper. I know this because she wrote interesting! on almost every page.Kim, look what I found.

Bender pregnant with beer!

"Je suis Napoleon." (in the robot sanitorium)

Singing songs about Waterloo while accompanying himself on the banjo.
So my new apartment. It's just about small enough where I get the urge to throw James out the window once a day. Then because its not enough to follow me around the whole day, he sleeps on my pillow wrapped around my head with his paws pressed into my forehead and tangled in my hair.
Kim's special friend Jason helped us move. Not the greatest time to meet our dad. He was yelling down the hallway about parking tickets, for example. Great, now everyone on my floor hates me and you're scaring Jason.
David Gray was on the first night I was alone. Let me say this: The Carlu is worse than the Mod Club in appearing like they are well-organised when actually being the worst organised venue ever. One could write a whole dissertation on why putting a concert hall on the seventh floor of a high-rise is not a good idea. Death trap!
So David Gray. I have a feeling that they're trying to overhaul his image. Where is the white dress shirt? Where is the jean jacket? The whole band came out in suits and fancy shoes. And then they played EVERY song off of his new album. They were good but if you don't know them then what's the point really? I felt a little cheated.
You can cry with me while watching the renovation of the Royal Ontario Museum in real time [here].

I find this building really offensive. I can't help it. And they're calling the project Renaissance ROM. Ech.
